Situated at the meeting place of the three Yorkshire Ridings, the Medieval Walled City of York is only 6 miles from the hotel while a Park and Ride facility is only minutes away by car. York is guaranteed to charm and fascinate each person with over 2,000 years of history, many historic attractions and wonderful shopping opportunities. There are several shopping streets to be found, the favourite being York's ancient thoroughfare, Stonegate with its rich medley of shops with Medieval and Georgian architecture including the world famous Mulberry Hall. Completed in 1990, the hotel has been painstakingly designed with space and light in mind.

The Gateway to York Hotel is situated 6 miles south-east of the city centre of York in the small village of Kexby on the a 1079 Road to Hull. From the South: Leave m1 at Junction 32 for m18. Leave m18 at Junction 2 for a1. Join a64 in Eastward direction. Take a1079 turn off towards Hull. From the North: Join outer ring road (A1237) around York and follow signposts to Hull. Leave the A64 at A1079 turnoff towards Hull. The Hotel is exactly 3 miles on the left.
